Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Here is a list of just some of the great discounts and deals being offered to veterans and active duty service members to mark the observance.

Discounts and deals at restaurants

Applebee’s: Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal from a limited menu at participating Applebee’s on Veterans Day.

Bob Evans: Veterans and active-duty military receive a special menu of seven homestyle favorites free at local restaurants. Dine-in only.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co: Military personnel and their families receive 20% off, with a valid ID, at participating locations.

Carolina Roadhouse: Veterans and active military receive 50% off an entr?e.

Chili’s: All veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free meal from a special menu at all participating Chili’s. Available for in-restaurant dining only.

Cracker Barrel: Will donate a $10 Cracker Barrel gift card to Operation Homefront for each Country Fried Turkey Family Meal Basket sold in November (up to $50,000), and the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Foundation will make an additional $50,000 donation to Operation Homefront – totaling up to $100,000 to support military families this holiday season. Additionally, on Veterans Day, Cracker Barrel will offer all U.S. military veterans a free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake when dining at any Cracker Barrel location nationwide.

Denny’s: All veterans and active-duty service members with a valid military ID or DD 214 receive a free Build Your Own Grand Slam at participating Denny’s locations on Nov. 12, from 5 am to noon

Famous Dave’s: Military personnel and veterans are being offered a free meal on Nov. 11 at participating locations only. Valid for dine-in, to go, and online ordering. Use code VETERAN for online orders. Not valid for call-in orders. Proof of military service is required.

Golden Corral: Active and former military members who have served in the U.S. military can pick up a promotional card during November, redeemable for a free thank you meal.

IHOP: Free Red, White and Blue pancakes. Veterans and active/Reserve service members are invited with family and friends to a make-to-order breakfast on Nov. 11, which includes a free pancake offer till 7 p.m.

Logan’s Roadhouse: Veterans and active-duty service members receive a free meal on Veterans Day at participating locations.

McCormick & Schmicks: Veterans, National Guard, Gold Star parents and Gold Star spouses can enjoy a half-priced entr?e from a special menu on Nov. 8.

Mission BBQ: Veterans and active-duty military personnel receive a free sandwich on Veterans Day.

Red Lobster: Veterans and active-duty military can receive a free appetizer or dessert from a select menu on Nov. 11, with a valid military ID or proof of service. Offer is available for dine-in only.

Red Robin: Veterans and active-duty military who are Red Robin Royalty members are being offered a free Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries anytime between Nov. 11-30 for dine-in or to-go.

Shoney’s: Will offer a free all you care to eat freshly prepared breakfast bar to the military on Nov. 11 from open-11 a.m.

Retail and other military discounts

Academy Sports: All military and first responders receive 10% off in-store and online through Nov. 11.

Bed Bath and Beyond: Active-duty U.S. military, veterans and military spouses will receive 25% off your entire in-store shopping cart on Nov. 11.

Buybuy Baby: Military personnel receive 25% off Nov. 11-14.

Great Clips: Veterans and current military members can visit a U.S. Great Clips salon on Nov. 11 to receive either a free haircut that day or the free haircut card to use at a later date.

Office Depot/Office Max: Veterans, active-duty service members, retirees, reservists and their dependents receive 25% off qualifying purchases in-store, with a valid military ID, from Nov. 11-13.

Publix: 10% discount for veterans, military and their families on Nov. 11.

Rack Room Shoes: 20% off all purchases for veterans and military on Veterans Day, 10% off purchases year-round.

Sports Clips: Certain locations will offer free haircuts to active-duty service members and veterans on Nov. 11.

Walgreens: Veterans, active-duty military and their families receive 20% off eligible regular-price items with a card, in-store only Nov. 11-15.

Attractions

National Parks: Over 100 national parks will waive admission fees on Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day. Contact your local park for information and to determine its operating status.

Army Corps of Engineers Recreation Areas: Army Corps of Engineers waives day use fees at recreation areas in observance of Veterans Day.

Colonial Williamsburg: Is offering free admission during Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 11-15, to all active-duty military, Reservists, retees, veterans, National Guardsmen and their immediate dependents.

Pro Football Hall of Fame: Will provide free museum and parking to all veterans and active-duty military plus a guest through Nov. 15. Must show a valid military ID at the Hall’s admissions office. A 20% discount will also be offered at the HoF Store.

National World War II Museum and Memorial: Free public ceremonies on the grounds and free general admission for veterans and active-duty military to the museum and memorial. Visit their website for details.

Many retail establishments, restaurants and attractions offer year-round military discounts to patrons. Be sure to ask if a discount is available wherever you are doing business.
