Trump could make Ivanka first female president by appointing her VP then resigning, Anthony Scaramucci wildly claims

DONALD Trump may guarantee his daughter Ivanka becomes the first female President by appointing her as VP and then resigning if he wins a second term, Anthony Scaramucci has wildly claimed.

“The Mooch” – who spent 18 months working with Trump – reckons the President may attempt to secure the “optics and the fanfare” of having the first woman to hold the presidency be a Trump.

Scaramucci, who had an explosive eleven days as White House communications director, told The Sun Online: “If Trump wins, imagine how emboldened and how crazy he will be.”

He was booted out by Trump after butting heads with chief of staff John Kelly – having the joint shortest tenure ever in the role.

Since then he is gone on to be critical of Trump, and is spearheading a movement of Republicans who are openly supporting Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden.

The financier said he believes Trump would not be able to secure the third term he constantly teases due to the difficulties in amending the constitution.

But he claims Trump sees Ivanka, his oldest daughter, as his successor over his sons.

And he may attempt to secure her the prestigious milestone of being the first woman to sit in the Oval Office.

Trump would do this by forcing out Mike Pence, before then appointing his daughter, who has worked in the White House since 2017 as an advisor, as his Vice President.

He would then resign “six to eight months” before the end of his term, allowing Ivanka the chance to be the incumbent going into the election in 2024, the Mooch predicts.

I think of all the Trumps, she is the one he would want to see as his successor

Speculating on a second Trump term, The Mooch told The Sun Online: “He could force Pence out of the Vice Presidency and install Ivanka.

“He would then resign six to eight months before the end of his term, allowing her to be the first woman president and allowing her to run as the incumbent.”

Scaramucci went on: “I think of all the Trumps, she is the one he would want to see as his successor.

“He likes the optics and fanfare of having a Trump become the first female president.”

The US Constitution’s 25th amendment dictates a replacement VP can be dictated by the President – but has to be confirmed with a majority vote in both Houses of Congress.

However, Scaramucci repeatedly said he does not expect Trump to win in 2020 saying it would be an even bigger surprise than his shock win in 2016.

He explained the polling is currently as polarized and steady as it was ahead landslide wins for Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton.

Biden’s polling advantage has been the largest since Clinton’s re-election campaign against Republic candidate Bob Dole in 1996.

Scaramucci said he believes Trump will lose as he is the “polarizing candidate” this time round – saying “Trump is now the Hillary Clinton of the race”.

“People are actually getting up and waiting in line for 12 hours to vote him out of office,” he said.

However, he admitted it was still possible for Trump to pull out a victory as he said “it’s Trump, nobody really knows”.

And he added if Trump does pull out a win “all polling” with have to be scrapped.

But again, he said he does not think that is likely with less than a week to go.

Who is Ivanka Trump?

IVANKA Trump is a the President’s oldest daughter and one of his closest advisors in the White House.

The 38-year-old is a businesswoman and former fashion model, Trump’s second child from his marriage to Ivana.

She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 with a degree in economics.

She has dabbled in modelling – walking fashion runways for big names such as Versace – and has served as Executive Vice President of Development and Acquisitions at the Trump Organization.

Ivanka also has her own jewellery and fashion lines – and Trump has often referred to his eldest daughter as his “favourite”.

Some even suggesting she may have a First Lady-esque influence over her father in the White House.

The mom-of-three is married to Jared Kushner, a real estate developer – and she converted to Judaism, her husband’s religion.

The pair are parents to Arabella, Joseph and Theodore.

Ivanka is popular with Trump’s supporters, with a chant of her name even breaking out at a rally in Florida.

She has an estimated net worth of $300million.

And she has already been floated by bookmakers and pundits as a possibly Republican presidential nominee in 2024.

Scaramucci said scandals such as the “not credible” Hunter Biden emails controversy have not moved the dial as voters have already made up their minds.

“Like you had with Mondale and Regan, and Clinton and Dole, the polling is parallel lines,” he said.

“That to me is an indication people are locked in and unwavering in their decision making.”

He added: “[Trump] may not lose, and the country will survive if he doesn’t lose.

“Every election they say ‘its the election of your life’ – but its not. Everyone will survive.

“And its not that I think he will lose because I want him to lose, even though I want him to lose.

“There is enough empirical data which shows he is going to lose.”

Scaramucci added the President could have secured victory if he had just “listened to the experts” over the coronavirus pandemic – branding his handling of the virus “lunacy”.

9

Trump has been flippant about the virus during the campaign, recently complaining that the media is too focused on Covid-19 as the US continues to record around 70,000 cases daily.

His administration also this week declared the pandemic over in a list of achievements from his first term, and Trump has claimed health officials may be exaggerating the virus to “get more money”.

Scaramucci told The Sun Online: “I expected him to handle Covid much much better,

“I was surprised by it – if he had listened to the experts he would have probably won re-election.

“He is a reflexive guy, he is counter intuitive, he wants to be the boss, he rejects experts and all that other stuff, but I was surprised at the lunacy of the way he has handled this.”

He added: “It used to be, ‘I am blustering, wink wink’ – but now its ‘I am blustering’ with a middle finger as the accent point.”

The Mooch said he expects the future of the Trump-wing of the Republicans will be spearheaded by figures such as Senator Tom Cotton, secretary of state Mike Pompeo, former UN ambassador Nikki Hayley, and Trump’s oldest son Don Jr.

Trump has often attacked any Republicans who have criticized him or who he sees as disloyal, most recently branding GOP senator Ben Sasse as a “stupid embarrassment” after he slammed him in leaked audio.

The President has also previously attacked Scaramucci, calling him “incapable” and a “loser” – saying he knows “very little about me” like “other so-called television experts”.

“Anthony, who would do anything to come back in, should remember the only reason he is on TV, and it’s not for being the Mooch!,” Trump raged in 2019.

Biden currently enjoys a lead in the national polls, but its narrower in key swing states which could ultimately decide the election on November 3.
