STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Get ready to see a full spectrum of eye-popping laser lights and special effects set to a soundtrack of today’s greatest hits — all from the comfort and safety of your car.

Six Flags Great Adventure is hosting a new, limited-time event, the Six Flags Rockin’ Drive-In Laser Light Spectacular, from March 18 to 21.

The event will coincide with the launch of the Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure on March 20 and one week before Six Flags opens its theme park for the spring season on March 27.

There will be two shows per night — 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Each show will be 30 minutes long. Tickets are $14.99 per person, or $9.99 for active members and season pass holders.

It will take place in the theme park parking lot. Guests should enter through the main entrance on Rt. 537 West. Snacks and beverages, as well as glow merchandise, will be available during the show, Six Flags stated.

Reservations are required, and capacity will be limited. Admission tickets will be on a first-come, first-served basis and will be sold per person for each show.

Event-specific tickets, as well as 2021 season passes and memberships, are available for purchase at sixflags.com/greatadventure. Current members and season pass holders can make reservations at sixflags.com/greatadventure/reserve.

Tickets won’t be available at the gate.

Vehicles will park in every other space to maintain social distancing. Event requirements include the use of face masks to purchase food or merchandise, and if car windows are down. Occupants of a participating vehicle can’t leave their vehicle except for emergencies or to use portable restrooms. These rules and a full list of safety requirements for the event are available at Six Flags’ website.

Six Flags is preparing to reopen to guests this month at its theme park. But before you visit, you’ll have to use the online reservation system, which will be used to manage attendance, schedule guests for entry by day, and stagger arrival times to minimize proximity exposure.

All members, season pass holders, and all guests with a single-day or group ticket will need to make a reservation at https://www.sixflags.com/reserve. Guests who need single-day tickets will be able to reserve during the purchase process.

Guests will enter their online order number, ticket number, or membership/season pass number, select the day and approximate time they want to visit, acknowledge their understanding of the company’s health policy, order pre-paid parking if needed, and watch a brief video describing new social distancing and sanitization procedures.

Reservations will open on different dates for Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure, and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.

Six Flags Great Adventure will open for the season on Saturday, March 27. Park reservations will launch at noon on Tuesday, March 16.

The Six Flags Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure will open to the public on Saturday, March 20. Reservations will launch at noon on Tuesday, March 9.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor will open for the 2021 season on Saturday, May 15. Reservations for the waterpark will launch Tuesday, May 4, at noon.
