SCARLETT Moffatt and boyfriend Scott Dobson have started a HUGE renovation process on their brand new property.
The couple purchased their “forever home” after the Gogglebox star sold her Bishop Auckland pad for just £400,000 back in December.
Since then Scarlett, 30, has launched an Instagram page named Our Bonnie Barn to share updates on her new property’s transformation over the next few months.
The telly favourite is currently still living in her old pad and the Northeast blizzards have brought a sudden stop to the process.
She shared on her new home account’s Instagram Story: “I love the snow, I think it’s because I’m quite childlike.
“It makes me feel very magical and any worries you just lookout you’re like it’s snowing! You can’t feel stressed when it’s snowing.
“However… as beautiful as this is, when you’re getting a house built and they need to tarmac, snow isn’t the best!
“We have been praying that it gets to eight degrees, that’s what the tarmac machine needs, that’s not happening.”
They’ve been able to work on the inside though – totally transforming the kitchen into a stunning cooking space.
The pair have opted for some light blue cupboards contrasted against white quartz worktops and their utility room follows a very similar vibe.
They’ve also decided to put in a stone cladding wall to separate their snug area from the kitchen and make it feel more “barny”.
Earlier this week Scarlett revealed that they’ve finally chosen what tiles they’re going to put down on the floor with a picture on the account.
She told her 88.6k followers: “Excuse the no make up and cheesy grin but another small victory we’ve chosen our tiles.
“Can’t wait to stick some flip flops on and pretend I’m walking to the hotel reception (love the sound of flip flops on tiles ha) need some advice on what’s the best way to clean them?
“Not an ad or anything but massive thanks to @discounttilespl for being so fabulous 🤍 #home #interior #flooring #tiles #clean.”
Their lavish downstairs toilet was also completed on Monday and follows a simple yet stylish vibe.
Back in December Scarlett shared a series of photos to the profile’s Story that show the house before renovations get under way.
Scarlett teased a glimpse at a chic wooden staircase as she asked fans for ideas on what they could do with the space under the stairs.
She was thrilled when followers suggested everything from a wine fridge to a large house plant – and even a mini library.
Scarlett’s first ever post on the account shared the lush countryside view from the property.
She wrote at the time: “It may look like a mud pile right now but this is the view from our forever home.
“It makes me and @scottdobby so excited to know we’ve found the home we will make all of our memories in ❤️
“If someone had told me 3 years ago I’d have found the love of my life and my forever home I’d have never believed them #love #home #family”.
Scarlett and Scott’s chihuahua Bonnie also lives with them, and no doubt influenced the Bonnie Barn name.
Back in December Scarlett sold her modern five-bedroom home for nearly £400,000 after just one week on the market.
She’d lived in the property for three years but decided that it was time to move on, writing at the time: “Me and Scott are off on an adventure (10 miles away) so our beautiful home is now for sale.”
A description of the home on Rightmove read: “The home stands as a credit to its current owner and has been finished to an extremely high standard throughout, boasting quality fixtures & fittings making this the dream purchase for any growing family…
“A property of this calibre is very rare to the market and must be viewed in person to fully appreciate. Truly the best of its kind!”
Photos of the Toft Hill mansion revealed its open plan dining room, kitchen and lounge area with a huge TV mounted on the wall – as well as a cinema room.
The I’m A Celebrity winner got the keys to the plush home in 2017, one year after she gave her parents money to pay off their own mortgage.
She moved back up north after a stint in London living in rented accommodation.
Scarlett has been dating police officer Scott for almost two years and they moved in together in 2019 and paid tribute to her other half with an adorable Instagram post.
She wrote: “I normally don’t like saying this because I’m scared I jinx myself 🙈 but @scottdobby takes all that fear away.
“I am so happy I have found my soulmate. Never give up on finding true love we all find it at different points in our life ❤️ #love #happiness.”
