The Greeley Natural Areas and Trails staff wants community input as it develops a five-year strategic plan for the city’s natural areas, trails and open lands.
Resident comments will be considered as the staff develops the plan — called Get Outdoors Greeley — which will feature programming to help connect families with the outdoors, protect natural areas that have “ecological significance” and create more recreational options.
The first English virtual workshop will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Spanish virtual workshops are scheduled for 6 p.m. on Dec. 11 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 12.
Community members can view the draft plan online, ask questions and make comments. Suggestions, concerns and input from other residents will be viewable for all. Comments must be submitted by Dec. 13.
The strategic plan development process began in June with a committee featuring city staff, nonprofit members, academic and community representation.
