Abilene Parks and Recreation will present the 28th annual Steam-N-Wheels Bike Race at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sea Bee Park, 6525 W. Lake Road, with routes of 11, 28 and 48 miles available.

Race-day registration will open at 8 a.m. To register, or for information, go to abilenetx.gov/parksandrec or bikereg.com.

Young musicians compete

The final round of the Nelda Hodges Young Artist Competition will be presented at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Woodward-Dellis Recital Hall at Hardin-Simmons University.

Seating is limited, but livestreaming will be available at abilenephilharmonic.org.

Mayor’s Hike

Mayor Anthony Williams will present the Spring Mayor’s Hike at 9 a.m. March 27 along Cedar Creek, starting at the 100 block of E.S. 11th Street.

The route is three miles, and leashed dogs are welcome. Admission is free.

‘Almost, Maine’

A production of the comedy “Almost, Maine” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and March 26 and 27, and at 2 p.m. Sunday and March 28, at Abilene Community Theatre, 809 Barrow St.
