Community Easter bunny meetups, egg collecting in North County

Although many free community Easter egg hunts have been postponed until next year to curtail the spread of COVID-19, some are still happening virtually, as a drive-thru, outdoors or with the Easter Bunny in a “bubble.”

ENCINITAS

Eggcinitas Eggstravaganza — Participating Encinitas business owners will give out thousands of eco-friendly eggs provided by the city of Encinitas from April 2-4, during business hours, while supplies last. Ten “golden eggs” will be filled with a special prize. No purchase is required to participate. This replaces the city’s annual Egg Hunt, which was canceled this year because of COVID-19 safety concerns. To see participating businesses, visit EncinitasCA.gov/Eggstravaganza.
