Brian Phillips has been elected chairman of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County Board of Directors. Phillips was elected to the post at the organization’s recent annual meeting. He has been a member of the board of directors for more than five years, and has served as the vice chairman of Resource Development for three years.
“I am honored to be elected at the Chair of the Board of Directors and look forward to continuing my service to the Club and it’s community in an impactful way,” Phillips said. “The Club’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. I believe our Board is well-positioned to meet that requirement and ensure the success of Club members.”
Phillips has more than 30 years of experience in business and finance with a primary focus on risk assessment, business process control review and analysis. He has worked for several Fortune 500 financial companies and is currently senior vice president, Treasury Process Management at Citigroup. In his current role, he is responsible for the development, management and strategic delivery of a quarterly internal control assessment program, periodic corporate reporting and ongoing corporate compliance requirements. Prior to Citibank, Brian worked with Prudential Financial and several regional commercial banks in New Jersey.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County is part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which serves more than 4.6 million young people annually, in all 50 states and on U.S. military bases worldwide. Clubs provide guidance-oriented character development programs on a daily basis for children 6 to 18 years old, conducted by a full-time professional staff.
